Demonstration of the EduSat Training Kit Towards Advancing Practical Satellite Engineering Capacity in South Sudan
Background
The EduSat Training Kit is a hands-on satellite engineering platform designed to introduce students, engineers, innovators and institutions to the fundamentals of CubeSat systems, satellite subsystem integration, mission operations and practical space technology development.
The initiative forms part of the broader effort to mainstream satellite engineering training in South Sudan and support the planned Space Science Laboratory as a national platform for space technology education, innovation and applied research.
The EduSat Kit has already gained regional and international recognition. The EduSat Kit was recently exhibited in Libreville, Gabon, where it was highly appreciated as one of the outstanding products on display. A one week training was conducted in Rwanda in December 2025 using the Kit and it will again be exhibited in Kigali in June at the Global Space Conference on Climate Change, organized…
